In the run up to Christmas I will often receive messages from families of Autistic children wondering about Autism toilet training tips. Asking if I have advice and where/when should they start.

Toilet Training Neuroaffirmative Approach

I will always say to parents that it is really important that they approach Autism Toilet Training differently to how you would approach toilet training a Neurotypical child.

I also always state that I do not condone a compliance based approach at any time. I support the Autistic child holistically and we progress their toilet training at a pace that is safe for them.
