Happy Printing

BeFunky Collage

I love to create free downloads for the readers of The Little Puddins Blog but sometimes I just don’t have the time I need to make them. I also love when I find brilliant free Printable downloads on line that I can use to help my own gorgeous little boys Conor and Jack. So I have decided to compile a list of some great FREE AUTISM DOWNLOADS that I have found and used myself on occasion or that I have printed off for later when Conor and Jack are ready to use them. Daily Schedule

Having a Daily Schedule for your child with Autism is so important for them to learn about independence and to make them self reliant as they grow up. You can find this brilliant free printable here.

Learning Responsibilities

Conor loves to throw his clothes when he is getting changed in the morning or at bedtime, you can find his socks anywhere lol! Well he doesn’t love picking them half as much lol! So part of his routine everyday is to learn to pick up after himself. I have in the past created a digital Chore Chart for him but of course when I need a digital copy of it now for my Blog I can’t find where I actually stored it on my laptop so I have searched on line and I really like this version from Koriathome.com. This time I have printed off and saved a copy for Jack when the time comes that he has to learn more about responsibilities. You can find your printable chart here.

Behavior and Communication

When you are out of the house with your child or they are staying at a friends house/relative it is not always easy to have every single Visual with you that you know they will need. I find it great to have Visuals prepared for “on the go” that I keep in a zip-lock bag I think I bought in Eason’s Book store some time ago. I always have it packed and ready for when Conor goes visiting so he has access to his resources when he needs them. It is useful to have many smaller versions of what he would use when out and about. I came across this brilliant free printable Behavior and Communication Cue Cards online and I have them saved on my laptop to print off later when I need them for Conor. They are small and exactly what I need to have in his “on the go” pouch. You can find these great resources here.

Emotions and Feelings

It is so important for children of all abilities to be able to communicate how they feel. I try as much as I can to understand Conor and his feelings but I also want him to learn what it means to be happy/sad and so on. Ultimately I want him to have a way to express his feelings so we can better communicate and understand each other. File Folder Heaven has a wealth of Free Online Resources that I go to from time to time. I recently came across there Emotions Download and wanted to share it here online with you. You can find the download here.x

Fun with Songs

We love music in our house. Conor and Jack both adore nursery rhymes and when things go awry here, there is nothing like a nursery rhyme to distract one or both of my lovely boys out of a meltdown.x I found this great printable resource online which has clear visuals and wording so you child can see and read what the song is all about. You can find your free printable Song Books here.

Sorting

Being able to identify and understand/discriminate that more than one object can in fact be the same “thing” is so important for all children to understand. Autismtank.blogspot.ie has created this brilliant printable Sorting Freebie for children with Autism.

Emotions

I found this printable a little while ago and even though it suggests using the printable with Play dough (which is a fab idea), I would use it without Play Dough for now with Conor as a matching game, to help him match up the same emotions and to help him understand what they mean.
